{colors} cozy bedroom hues

The bedroom has always been the most important room in my house. Even though I pay very close attention to the main living area, when it comes to my bedroom space I devote extra attention to color palette and textures. This happens mainly because I do consider it to be THE room where I can let go and relax.  And in order for me to do so, it cannot be cluttered in anyway: objects have to be stored, textures have to be in perfect harmony, and pastel colors are a must! 

I would be lying if I said that the oh-so colorful bedroom decor does not attract me aesthetically speaking, however it is not for me (and probably would make me feel like I drank an enormous amount of coffee every time I stepped in...). Isn't it strange that color has a different effect on different people? Even though I do try to stick with lighter hues, I use pops of color to give the room some life and personality. 

Is your bedroom predominately bright or do you lean towards lighter colors such as myself?
