a cluttered mind

Have you ever felt like your mind needs a good spring cleaning? That is how I have been feeling lately. This year my head has been spinning around in circles observing and retaining tons of new things and it has caused me to loose track of what I started doing in the first place. Chris and I have been talking a lot about how we would love to simplify our life and enjoy more of what we have. Living in the city can be quite overwhelming at times and the hustle and bustle of the everyday life is starting to get to us. Figuring out how to handle situations such as this can be tricky, but sometimes it can be simply resolved by regrouping and remembering what is really important.

I thought this blog would bring me some enlightenment and that it would help me focus on what I truly believed in and love. It sure did, however I have found that even when doing something that comes from your heart, it can be challenging to organizing your thoughts into one consistent idea. So, thanks to my very talented blogger friend Chelsea, and her lovely post, I am taking some time to declutter and organize my mind. She said something very true and that instantly made so much sense to me. When it comes down to simplifying your life you need to be selective, be picky with what you let in. And along came the suggestion of compartmentalizing my ideas into two categories...

The colors of my mood, daily inspirations and encounters, personal interactions...

And...

Collections of thoughts, ideas, details, and everything else life brings my way.

Now it is time to start brainstorming - let the spring cleaning begin! If anyone has good ideas in this department, please do share. The more the merrier :)

xoxo,
m

  3. I'm so happy to hear that this helped you! It really must be the 'spring cleaning' time of year. I think these words work so well for you, and very similar to branding, I was able to see this all from your online presence. With that, it must be important (sometimes we just need the outside perspective to see it for ourselves.) Good luck!
