the holidays are just around the corner

can you believe that christmas is in two weeks? i can't... where has 2012 gone? even though i absolutely love this time of year, i think i have been in denial. i left all christmas shopping to the last minute and was starting to freak out a little bit... so yesterday i decided to leave my apartment (even though it was a wet and cloudy day) and head out to go shopping! i don't know about you, but it i am a picky shopper. i am always out to find the perfect gift for all the special people in my life. we all know that christmas is more than just presents and spending money. it's more about making people smile and showing them how much they mean to you. i am happy i got that out of the way and now our christmas tree looks even prettier!!  

because i have been crazy busy with papers and finals, i have been "window shopping" online a lot!!! and while doing so, have come across a few things that i wouldn't mind putting on my own christmas list (i have been a really nice girl this year) 

how adorable are the elephant and giraffe decorating plates? not to mention those warby parker glasses... to die for (at least for us glasses/contact dependents here)! 

now that i got shopping out of the way, i can concentrate on things such as ice skating, cookies, hot chocolate, skiing, christmas movies, and you can't forget cuddles under a fluffy blanket!
