Hello and Happy Monday bloggers! Today is Day 6 of the Blog Every day in May challenge (yes, I know I kind of ignored yesterdays post, but come on it WAS Sunday and all I wanted to do was watch Mad Men). However, today I am back and the question for this post is: "If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question 'what do you do?' "
This totally relates to my last post. I have always been a creative person, but I was always all over the place. The joke in my family is "what will Mariana want to do next." I have always wanted a bit of everything and I don't think my perfect job actually exists... Anyway, I managed to go from a Literature major to Publishing and now I have found myself in Marketing. Not sales, but a more creative side to Marketing. This surely does represent my love for design, print and web media, and everything that goes into consumer engagement.
I think that I am far from having a perfect job and career, however I am a dreamer and I am sure that eventually everything will come together in perfect grace. "Dreams are often most profound when they seem the most crazy." {Sigmund Freud}

DeleteI´d say I´m a photographer! I do can see your point, for I love to do many other things I don´t work with, such as cooking, shoot, talk about films or any image. Actually it´s kind of hard, but I see it as a new generation question. It´s not only you and me, there are many others around making this same question. The thing is, your are part of a new generation that want to work with pleasure and not only for the money. It makes a huge difference in the marketing. Check for Generation Y ;) We think outside the box to do the same things our parents used to make but in a new way with a new view.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is some what of a photographer - and videographer! You are one hundred percent right about our generation! We are looking for more than just a paycheck... We want to be fulfilled with our jobs and careers. Thanks for your sweet words! xo, m
