hello bloggers! how are you doing on this gloomy winter day? (well, at least here in the northeast...) i have never been the person to hate the winter time, but i am beginning to wonder how one does live in a place where winter is present at least half of the year... this is an odd statement coming from me. people that know me, are well aware of my "it is so hot i am going to pass out" feeling for summer! but, i am longing for a beach somewhere with sunshine and warm water... maybe (just maybe) it is because i got caught up in a lilly sale last week and received a (very) cute summer dress in the mail. i think the nautical print on the dress just made me long for beach weather!
oh my! i did go on a tangent with this post... anyway, the reason why i started "blabbing" about other places other that home was because i watched the lovely audrey hepburn the other day (in the movie sabrina) and it made me want to go travel... and by the way, i absolutely loved the movie! i though there was nothing that could come in between me, audrey and breakfast at tiffany's, but i think sabrina has won my heart! :) there is this quote from the movie that was stuck in my head and made me feel all kinds of fancy. so i decided to turn it into my desktop screen (and it's by free download today!!!). you are welcome! ;)
"this is what you do on your very first day in paris. you get yourself, not a drizzle, but some honest-to-goodness rain, and you find yourself someone really nice and drive her through the bois de boulogne in a taxi. the rain's very important. that's when paris smells its sweetest." thank you audrey for the lovely words this tuesday morning. and thank you for reading!!
