On Friday evening, hubs and I decided to go for a stroll and enjoy the last bit of summer sunshine in the city. Both of us have past by Meridian Park several times but never had the time to actually go in and take a peek. Even though the sun was almost gone, we decided this was our destination for the evening. When we were wandering around the park, I couldn't help but observe how all the colors were perfectly balanced - the city's architecture, the landscape, people laying out on the green lawn... DC has a way of reconciling concrete structures and nature in perfect harmony, and every time I take a stroll around town it never seizes to amazes me how beautiful this city can be.

Not only do the buildings and nature perfectly collide, but as you look around you can see how the people and their ever so different lifestyle compliment the city as a whole. What would it be of a city without the individuality of each resident, am I right? Each neighborhood exhales color, personality, and most of all individuality. The freedom to be inspired by your surroundings and make it your own!

  1. I love your photography. Nice work on the pictures of your city. Your in D.C. right? I think I read that somewhere. We just went to D.C in February and it is so pretty. We live in South Texas where it is always hot and dusty! :)
